In an exclusive interview with Billboard, John Cooper of Skillet announced that the band has left Atlantic Records after 20 years. Through their Hear It Loud imprint, Skillet will be releasing their new single “Unpopular” this Friday, August 9, ahead of their upcoming album Revolution on November 1.

John and Korey Cooper, alongside Skillet’s manager Zach Kelm, formed a record imprint through Atlantic Records called Hear It Loud ten years ago according to Billboard. This imprint is morphing into a full-service label, handling Skillet’s marketing and promotion.
