Recently, Skillet released their new song “All That Matters” from their upcoming album REVOLUTION, a ten-track album slated to release on November 1.
“‘All That Matters’ was the first song I wrote,” Skillet’s lead singer, John Cooper, said in an email. “I was sick of all the anger, insanity, and violence in the world–people are constantly looking for something to hate online and yell about. Everyone doesn’t have to agree by any means, but how do we reclaim ideas of community, loving your neighbor, and being willing to tolerate opposing viewpoints as friends? I was thinking, ‘How do we remind ourselves what matters most?’ I had to say something about it.”
