A sequel to the 2018 hit movie I Can Only Imagine, based on the MercyMe song by the same name, is in the works.
I Can Only Imagine 2 will continue the inspiring story of MercyMe lead singer, Bart Millard. Millard announced on his social media that the sequel will be about their song “Even If.”
Original cast member John Michael Finley will return as Millard along with Dennis Quaid playing Arther Millard and Trace Adkins returning as MercyMe manager, Scott Brickell. Milo Ventimiglia, from Gilmore Girls and This is Us, will join the cast playing the role of singer/songwriter Tim Timmons.
